Indoor Gardening: Alfalfa Sprouts

The Alfalfa Sprouts have reached the edible stage!

They are so easy to grow, just 7 days from start to sandwich. Oh, and they don't need light either. This set has grown entirely on my basement counter with now window light. Most plants germinate in darkness.

I highly recommend giving these a try if you're looking for a fun science experiment for kids, or if you just want a nice fresh addition to sandwiches and salad. They taste great!

There are lots of different types of sprouts you can grow as well. Radish sprouts add a nice mild spicy kick. Without further ado, here are the timelapse videos, and the final photo from today.
