Old Photos

So, these aren't self-portraits in the sense that I posed for and took a photo of myself today. But they are portraits of me, and I scanned them, so...

Anyway, I came across these today and had to share them with the world.

Standing beside one of the tires on the Icefield’s buses. Maybe 1996 or ‘97.

At school at Woodlands, so must have been grade 4, 1996.

Also at Woodlands, probably also grade 4.

Meeting my horse Splash for the first time.

Starting my dressage test at Pony Club Camp on Rusty. I think I turned 11 this year.

I think we got a pretty decent test score. Dressage has always been a favourite, I really miss it, and riding in general.

This would have been grade 7 or 8. I played saxophone once upon a time.

Grade 9 graduation, with my grandma. I think this would have been 2002.

Connor and I at grade 9 grad. Besides some time spent in Afghanistan, he’s still pretty much the same Connor. Love him to pieces, so glad he’s stuck around and I still get to see him fairly regularly.

I don’t know when this is from. It’s possibly from when I took photography in high school. I’m not sure who took this. Possibly Kathleen or Jess. I don’t recall sitting for it. There’s also a slim chance its older than that, possibly from when my brother or sister were in high school, but I feel like I look too old for it to be from then.

Kathleen and Jess and I used to go bomb around in my little red Pontiac Firefly with our cameras and take pictures of each other. I don’t know which of them would have taken this, but looking at it brings back a ton of awesome memories. Miss those girls.

This is probably from another of those trips with Kathleen and Jess.

No idea who took this either, but it was definitely towards the end of high school since I have my grad hoodie on. Probably Kathleen or Jess.

And finally, an actual selfie. With Melissa’s head in the background. This would also have been from grade 12 sometime. I love this. I don’t know why, I just love it, and I’m so glad I printed it and kept it from photography class. I think I need to find all my negatives from photography and get them scanned.
