So we get some pretty cool opportunities to see the Aurora Borealis here in Alberta. Apparently last week I missed what was probably, the best show of the year. I found out later, that people living downtown in Calgary could see them, that's bloody impressive! Last night the forecast was about 5.5 kpa, so I headed out north of town around 11:30. Once I got out there I realized I didn't have the clip for my tripod, so these were done with my camera balanced on the window frame of my car, on top of my leather phone case. Without further adieu, here's the few shots that turned out ok last night.
I added a location to this entry, estimated for where I was last night. The first shot is aimed basically straight North, the other two are aimed North East ish, towards Crossfield.
